If I were to be unlucky enough to be mugged for my iPod, my reaction would depend almost entirely on the song that was playing at the time.

I grew up playing games using a joystick, and while I have certainly adapted to the Xbox controller, I’ve often given the joystick a thought when picking them up. I think fondly of “Street Fighter“, and of course the “Games” series, for example “Summer Games“.
Anyway, take a stroll down memory lane…..
Talking to the guys today during our offsite about Aussie Rules again, and its clear the rules, like with any new sport, is the problem.
I think this video should clear things up. So guys, do some prep, then I will bring the ball. <grin>

I upgraded all my machines to Vista SP1 last week. It has had a big, and very positive impact on all of them, in particular my notebook. I have been really disappointed in this little machine, while it looks great, Vistas performance on it broke my heart.
With SP1 though it feels like a new machine….
Picking up a coffee, that is contained in a plastic cup, and finding out upon touch that it is cold. I reckon it must be like touching a dead body.
Robin reviewed “Gone Baby Gone” a few weeks back and it has been on my list to watch ever since. It has also been generally very well received, so I was really looking forward to it, especially since I really love a movie that poses an ethical dilemma.
For me though, this movie just did not hit the spot. In fact, I hated the first hour so much that I *almost* turned it off.
Why? Well, to start with, Casey Affleck’s voice drove me absolutely MAD, the guy cannot pronounce his words. Instead something sounding half way between the kid from “The Year My Voice Broke” and Dirty Harry drips out.

Generally speaking, I have liked a lot of stuff by Marky Mark and the
Funky Bunch (Boogie Nights, Three Kings), and I like the unique style of Joaquin Phoenix, so I overcame some hesitation and watched “We Own The Night“
Just because it got number 1 doesn’t mean it really is Aussie.
